Closing the technology and upskilling gap in Retail and CPG workforce
How AI and automation can drive efficiencies and improve employee experience and productivity
According to the British Retail Consortium, the average annual staff turnover rate is now over 50%, with many retail employees leaving their roles after less than a year. While the number of retail positions as a whole has been on the decline in the UK, the number of advertised vacancies is on the rise. Simply put, retail is not attracting the talent it needs.
Gen Z will be making up the next workforce wave – and they have very different ideas around work. This, combined with how AI will be changing the jobs to be done, means retailers must act now to attract, retain and upskill/reskill staff if they want to withstand this competitive environment.
Enter: AI. This roundtable will discuss the art of the possible for HR leaders. We’ll outline real use cases where technology is facilitating efficiencies that are enabling better recruitment and retention strategies – ultimately driving productivity, better business outcomes and growth. We’ll also focus on the barriers to change/investment within retail organisations – and how you can overcome them.
Date & Time: 2nd of July, 8:30-11:00 am
